Luke 6:17-19 . “And he came down with them and stood on a level place, with a great crowd of his disciples and a great multitude of people from all Judea and Jerusalem and the seacoast of Tyre and Sidon, who came to hear him and to be healed of their diseases; and those who were troubled with unclean spirits were cured. And all the crowd sought to touch him, for power came forth from him and healed them all.”

“A great crowd of his disciples” were present.  Also, “A great multitude…from all Judea and Jerusalem and the sea coast of Tyre and Sidon were present.  

So far in this Gospel of Luke we have read of many healing by Jesus but have not read many teachings.  The main teaching that we have read is His teaching, in His hometown.  He preached that He was fulfilling the prophecies that He read from the book of Isaiah.  Luke, the writer of this book, is about to share some of Jesus’ teachings, His instructions to us.
