 Luke 16:18    ““Every one who divorces his wife and marries another commits adultery, and he who marries a woman divorced from her husband commits adultery.”

Yesterday’s portion of Jesus’ teaching ended in Jesus’ statement: But it is easier for heaven and earth to pass away, than for one dot of the law to become void.” In today’s verse one single commandment from the law is given as an apparent example. It is easy for us to trivialize this, and any of the other commandments, but Jesus revealed that they are more firmly established than heaven and earth.  Amazing!
