Luke 9:49-50   “John answered, “Master, we saw a man casting out demons in your name, and we forbade him, because he does not follow with us.” But Jesus said to him, “Do not forbid him; for he that is not against you is for you.””

This is a remarkable instruction from Jesus.  How should we apply this to today?  Apparently this may had faith in Jesus even though he was not one of the 12 apostles, or even the wider group of His disciples.  Was this man similar to the demoniac in Luke 8:39?  When that healed man wanted to follow Jesus, Jesus told him:  ““Return to your home, and declare how much God has done for you.”
