Today’s reading is short but powerful.: 

Luke 3:21-22    “Now when all the people were baptized, and when Jesus also had been baptized and was praying, the heaven was opened, and the Holy Spirit descended upon him in bodily form, as a dove, and a voice came from heaven, “Thou art my beloved Son; with thee I am well pleased.””

Luke, the writer of this Gospel account mentions that “Jesus also had been baptized and was praying”.  Jesus was communicating wirh the Father while being baptized.  Luke also recorded the Father bearing witness to Jesus.  Notice that this verse mentions the Holy Spirit, and the voice of God the Father, who is pleased with His Son, Jesus.  

We are greatly blessed to have these written records of the works of the Holy Spirit, God the Son, and God the Father.
