The reading today describes the end of John’s public ministry, but tomorrow’s reading is a look back to John baptizing Jesus, prior to the arrest of John. : 

Luke 3:18-20   “So, with many other exhortations, he preached good news to the people. But Herod the tetrarch, who had been reproved by him for Herodi-as, his brother's wife, and for all the evil things that Herod had done, added this to them all, that he shut up John in prison.”

Good News: repent for your sins, be baptized, look for the Christ, who will baptize you with the Holy Spirit, be gathered up by Him.  

God blesses us, and wants us to come to Him for the blessings of His fellowship!  

He loves us.
