Words of Jesus: Saturday, April 11, 2026

Luke 12:11-12   “And when they bring you before the synagogues and the rulers and the authorities, do not be anxious how or what you are to answer or what you are to say; for the Holy Spirit will teach you in that very hour what you ought to say.””

 RSV

The lives of the Apostles demonstrated fulfillments of this teaching by Jesus. 

Here is what is written about Stephen, when he was testifying to the “Council”.:

“But he, full of the Holy Spirit, gazed into heaven and saw the glory of God, and Jesus standing at the right hand of God; and he said, “Behold, I see the heavens opened, and the Son of man standing at the right hand of God.””

Acts 7:55-56 RSV

Here is what the Apostle Paul, wrote to the Philippian Church.:

 “Yes, and I shall rejoice. For I know that through your prayers and the help of the Spirit of Jesus Christ this will turn out for my deliverance,”

Philippians 1:19 RSV

Thank you, Heavenly Father, for giving the presence of your Holy

Spirit to your people.  Amen.
