Luke‬ 24‬:25‬-27‬ “And he said to them, “O foolish men, and slow of heart to believe all that the prophets have spoken! Was it not necessary that the Christ should suffer these things and enter into his glory?” And beginning with Moses and all the prophets, he interpreted to them in all the scriptures the things concerning himself.” RSV‬‬‬‬‬‬‬‬‬‬‬‬‬‬‬‬‬‬‬‬‬‬‬‬‬‬‬‬‬‬

A gentle rebuke, then the revelation from God the Son of the all the Old Testament Prophecies concerning Him, that can be reviewed in a three-hour walk! Don’t you wish that you could have been there? Can we participate vicariously? Yes! In fact, the gospels are filled with statements such as “and this was done to fulfill the prophecy….”. Isn’t it probable that the New Testament writers also learned these same fulfilled prophecies from the risen Jesus?

Dear God, thank You for the many ancient prophecies that were fulfilled in the life, death, and resurrection of Jesus. Amen.
